- Meeting With Budget Women and Development Network

- Gender Budget Roadshows
The gender budget roadshows are interactive and touring promotional events that are held at major municipal headquarters in each of the five Administrative Divisions of Lagos State. They afford an opportunity for members of the public and municipal staff who do not have a functional involvement in government budget processes, to improve their understanding of gender responsive budgeting and gender analysis. Activities include displays and distribution of informational materials, poster presentations, public lectures and debates. Roadshows have taken place in Ikorodu Local Government (14 February, 2007), Ikeja Local Government, (22 February, 2007). Badagry Local Government (5 & 6 March, 2007), Epe Local Government (27 March, 2007), Lagos Island Local Government (22 March, 2007) and Ikosi-Isheri Local Government (10 May, 2007).
- Maiden Press Briefing
To mark the end of the first year of the Gender Budget Transparency and Accountability Project, DIN organized a press briefing in collaboration with the Lagos State Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget (MEPB) at the MEPB Conference Room, Lagos State Secretariat, Alausa, on 27 February 2007. The event also featured the public presentation of DIN's Training Manual on Gender Budget Analysis and the introduction of the newly established Lagos Gender Budget Network.
The Special Guest of Honour, the Honourable Commissioner, MEPB, Mr. Ben Akabueze, who was on an official assignment outside the country, was represented by the Permanent Secretary, MEPB, Mrs. F.M. Oguntuase. The event had in attendance Directors from MEPB and other State Ministries such as Local Government Affairs and Health. Also, media representatives and members of the Lagos Gender Budget Network.
- Gender Budget MOU
In order to faciliate access to publicly-held information and to ensure the full cooperation of government bodies and officials, a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was concluded between DIN and the Lagos State Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget (MEPB) in June 2006.
